センターの紹介

沿革

平成 6年（1994）	「治験管理室」を薬剤部に設置し、治験の一元管理を開始。
平成10年（1998）	「治験管理センター」が発足（院内措置）。医師、薬剤師、看護師、事務職員からなる院内組織として、実施の支援を開始。
平成13年（2001）	「臨床試験部」が発足し、定員化（文部科学省より正式に認可）。治験に加えて研究者主導の臨床試験（自主臨床試験）の院内の実施を支援する組織として活動を開始。
平成22年（2010）	「臨床研究支援センター」を、臨床試験部を発展的に改組して設置。多施設共同試験などの研究者を支援する組織として「中央管理ユニット」を新設し、旧臨床試験部は改組後の「サイト管理ユニット」に移行。
平成23年（2011）	東大病院が厚生労働省の「早期・探索的臨床試験拠点」（精神・神経領域）に選定され、これに伴い、P1ユニットを新設。
平成28年（2016）	東大病院が厚生労働省の「臨床研究中核病院」に選定。
令和1年（2019）	「臨床研究支援センター」を「臨床研究推進センター」へ改称し、ユーザーである医師・研究者や企業及び患者に分かりやすい組織とするため8部門に組織再編した。

History

1994	Clinical Trial Management Room established in the pharmaceutical department and began centralized management of clinical trials.
1998	Clinical Trial Management Center established within the hospital. Began supporting implementation as an in-hospital organization consisting of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and administrative staff.
2001	Clinical Study Department established and number of staff increased and staffed to capacity (officially approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).
2010	Clinical Study Department expanded and reorganized into the Clinical Research Support Center. Central Coordinating Unit established as an organization to support investigators conducting multicenter clinical trials, and the former Clinical Study Department was moved to Site Management Unit.
2011	The University of Tokyo Hospital was selected as a Center for Early/Exploratory Clinical Trials by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and along with this a new Phase 1 Unit was established.
2016	The University of Tokyo Hospital was approved as a Clinical Research Core Hospital by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare under the Medical Care Act.
2019	To clarify to users such as physicians, researchers, companies or sponsors that it is an organization that promotes clinical research, the Clinical Research Support Center was renamed to Clinical Research Promotion Center and reorganized into eight divisions.
